In the "Jamaican Reggae" fraternity, tons of artists break in Jamaica and filter through to dominate in USA, UK and other Farrin (Foreign) Countries. Farrin "Jamaican Reggae" artists breaking to infiltrate Jam Rock (Jamaica) on the same level as successful Yard artists is a seldom Big Bang Theory occurrence. Only a handful got through. Standouts (from predominantly NYC) -- Shinehead, Shelly Thunder, Shaggy, Mikey Jarrett, Alton Irie, Red Fox, Sleepy Wonder and Bobo General. Bobo General got the mic so we will stick to The General.

Bobo General (longside Sleepy Wonder) got his start on the 90's Brooklyn - NYC Mini Mart sound system. Bobo (and Sleepy's) big dancehall success was via the still hard-pounding 'Pounder' released on Shelly Records/Superpower label in 1992. Well the track might as well be entitled 'Pound Her' cos nuff worl o' gyal (gal) pickney got pounded in the era of the baby Benz. Bobo's follow-up hit was a track called 'Gal Gargon.' 'Gal Gargon' produced by UK's Jazwad and Robo Ranks was released on the duo's Musik Street UK label. 'Gal Gargon' pounded the UK to the point where even Super Cat (the Wild Apache) who was on the same Robert Livingston's showcase package with Frankie Paul, Trevor Sparks and Junior Demus, had to open for Bobo. As the legendary Dennis Alcapone would say, "it goes like that."

So sreggiN and Wiggers who thought Bobo General's lyrics ran out, jack dat (that) up and dash (throw) it away! After a 20-year reclusive absense, Sleepy Wonder dragged Bobo out to produce and record the new album "Emotional" which charted #30 out of the gate on UK's Top 100 Reggae Chart. "Emotional" was released on the No Choice Music Group/Bug Music labels and can be purchased digitally on finer outlets around The Third Rock From The Sun. Fantra Zine's fav tracks are 'Who Said We Are Done,' 'Jah Will Be There' and 'Emotional.'
