David Grammont aka Uncle David was a singer French of reggae born 12 October 1967 at the Meeting.
He participates in the late 1980s to High Fight Sound System International which included the time of other artists as Nuttea or Pierpoljak. It then contributes to the development of reggae French with the title People of the world on this compilation Rappattitude. She went on to sell 100,000 copies. Her song Sure and certain output on the album Go tell them is a big success, it will even be nominated for the Victoires de la Musique. Then follow other hits such as Everybody's Road (theme song from the movie An Indian in the city where he worked for the album with Manu Katche and Geoffrey Oryema). The album Repeat offender also knows a fair amount of success with such singles as he walks alone, for all the world like this or his duet with Cheb Mami Fugitive. Uncle David is however a bit forgotten since.
In 2002, while under contract with a new producer, David Grammont is pirated by his former record label Virgin Delabel, which released a best of[one].
He participated in the Spring of Bourges in 1994.
In 2005 he collaborated with Demon One and Dry (Untouchables) on their album The Dream Life on the title Gagne. In 2007 he moved with his family in Lorraine.
