New for 2006, Zion Train take us on a return journey to the old skool days, thousands of kids were popping pills, meeting at derelict warehouses, beaches, or in fields adjacent to motorways and re-connecting with their identity, attempting to create their own form of community. By the mid-nineties the rave scene needed something new, something more conscious. ‘Siren’ (originally released in 1994) burst into the scene, the album that spawned the dub dance phenomenon and created countless imitations across the world.


Zion Train managed to successfully blend rave/trance styles with a spiritual message and booming, heavyweight UK dub and roots bass-lines, creating a new musical style, which helped progress and develop the whole scene.


Some may find this style a little dated or feel it incorporates too much of a trance edge, but those who were there know how good this is and will be reminiscing long into the night. With super storming cuts such as ‘F*ck The Nazis’, ‘Eagle Ray’, ‘Praying Mantis’ and the mighty ‘Follow Like Wolves’, this is a sure fire winner second time around.


An interesting point, when 'Follow Like Wolves' was first released as a single everybody hated it. The House crew wouldn't play it because it was too reggae and the Roots crowd would not touch it because it was too housey. But they all came round in the end!
