Rod Taylor conocido como tambien como Rocky T. Es un cantante de reggae y productor. Nacio el 2 de Marzo de 1957, en Kingston Jamaica, West Indies.


Despues de formar un grupo de corta vida llamado The Aliens con Barry Brown y Johnny Lee, Taylor grabó su primer sencillo, «Bad Man Comes and Goes» en 1975 por Ossie Hibbert. El ganó popularidad como parte del colectivo Bertram Brown’s Freedom Sounds (junto a otros artistas reggae como Prince Alla y Earl Zero), lanzando su hit sencillo «Ethiopian Kings», el cual trabajó con Mikey Dread. Subsecuentemente trabajó con una gran variedad de productores a finales de 1970 y principios de 1980, incluyendo Prince Far I, Ossie Hibbert, Prince Hammer, y Nigger Kojak.


El album debut, «If Jah Should Come Now», fue lanzado en 1979. Despues de unos cuantos años de descanso, Taylor re-emerge a finales de 1980 con el album «One In a Million,» seguido de muchos lanzamientos para los años 2000.

Debut album, If Jah Should Come Now, was issued in 1979, with Where Is Your Love Mankind soon following in 1980. After a few quiet years, Taylor re-emeged in the late 1980s with the One In a Million album, with further releases following into the 2000s.
